Deal Workflows - No pre populated first name option available

i build workflows that are triggered by deal changes. First name, as autogenerated field, is only available if  you work with person's details but not a deal. The same story when you build integrations thru Zapier: thru deal details only deal contact full name is available. Doesn't look personalized when your email contains  Dear Michael Jordan, .... instead of Dear Michael. Any solutions to this ?

You can add a dummy action step in your workflow to fetch the person record.
