What?

Account settings access can now be granted as a free seat, independently of having access to Deals. Users that only have access to account settings will not see deals, leads, pipelines, or other core features of Pipedrive. But will have access to user management, billing details, company settings, security settings, and personal settings.

Note: when a new company is created, the user that creates it will have this permission enabled automatically. For users that are invited into a company, this setting will be disabled by default and can only be enabled by another user with access to account settings.

When?
Available now for all companies

Hi Manuel, thanks so much for this update! This is quite helpful for accounting. Is there a possibility to have view access only for deal/person/organisation details too? As our Accounting Team would need information attached to those, but not necessarily need an account for using pipedrive. Thanks ahead!

And us. The sales team do all the work using PipeDrive, but members of others teams need access to that information for their function. Most notably accounts and packaging to get addresses for completed sales.

100% agree with Ling Wu. Account setting only access makes very little less sense as these functions are normally used by those who already have a Paid seat as they are owner/partner/manager/c-suite.

I need read-only access for my Devs and support who just need to check a customer address or a phone number, and also are building API functions to feed data back into Pipedrive. i.e. just view, no need to edit Deals and add data.

I agree with others. The scope of this function is useless. Our clients needs to help with settings of the workflow or data fields.

Fully agree with Ling Wu, print screens or downloads is today tool to keep teams in the loop. A seat that allowed them to see their deals will be very useful.

Thanks for the feedback, the Viewer option has been in our research roadmap and we have also made some beta testing with it. Hopefully, within upcoming quarters, I would be able to share more information.
In addition to that, just want to point out that the account settings access brings a more granule approach to providing access to your account. The feature also provides the possibility to restrict some account specific accesses for the admins, so to say that not all admins should have access to everywhere. Meaning, now the admin has access to pipeline, leads, deals, contacts, and all related features, but does not necessarily have access to billing, user management, security center.
