I want to be able to force email address entry when deal is moved from stage 1 of the deal to stage

Currently it only asks for the contact person name. When the deal is then moved from stage 2 to 3, then it asks for the email address. This should be asked already from Stage 1 to 2 as otherwise the workflow automation to send an email will not work.
I have spoken to their support and they said to leave this as feedback here.
