Utilizing another Pipe after a Deal is "Won"

Ok so there are a few posts about this issue, that when a deal is WON although you can bring it up and submit information to it.  It canNOT be placed in a working pipe.  Say Customer Onbaording.  You can create a copy and ReOpen it but then the "Copy" has none of the history of the original deal.  I am trying to find a way to be able to use to the WON LOST buttons for the amazing analytics that come with it and insights that they will provide, as well as the forecasting trends.  However Pipedrive really seems to be only a Sales tool and not a true CRM. I have built Customer onboarding pipes and Customer Retention pipes with automation focused around deals that are already WON, but the only way to currently use them is with a deal that is still "OPEN".

So the simple questions is there a way:

To to take a WON deal in Pipedrive and put it in another pipe so that the pipe automation can be utilized?

Hey @Matthew Baran ! Using our Workflow automation feature, you are able to automatically place your newly WON deals in an 'Onboarding' type pipeline.

Here is an example of what that automation would look like:

    image

Where you may be seeing issue is that once your deal is moved to the new pipeline, it may not appear visible to you. Reasoning for this is that by default, your pipeline will only show OPEN deals.

To view the WON deals in your 'Onboarding' pipeline, you'd need to set a filter to that pipeline like so:

    image

Hoping this helps clarify a solution to you! If you do need any further assistance, please feel free to contact support@pipedrive.com or open up a chat to speak with a live support representative.

    All the best!

I created this, turned on the WON view, and the deal is nowhere to be found?

Ok I can see how to get it to work, but my automation seems not to be working, will keep playing with it.  I can do it manually and it works.  Thank you.

    Remove the condition for 'stage'.

Ok now that works thank you very much.  Is there anyway to always have the filter on for "Won" deals looking to make this an organizational change for our team.

Just update the default filter definition to exclude filtering by deal status.

Maybe its better to use projects functionality for this? When a deal is won you can create a project and then have all project tasks in there.

Hi Matthew: we requested this feature a few years ago, as what business doesn't want repeat customers?! The answer we get from pipedrive is to use a filter so that you can see won deals. LAME. My boss tried to use the projects pipeline and it didn't work for equipment manufacturing.  If you have any suggestions for how you're using the pipeline after one (such as categories for stages), I would really appreciate any suggestions. Feel free to email me at mrea@odulair.com. Thanks!

@Matthew Baran @Carlos @Mo Rea and others, perhaps you want to test out any of our features in Beta that should help you with this, Projects for example already works with automations too. Check them out here and email me at mike@pipedrive.com if you want access:

Thanks Mike! As it happens, I just won a deal I can beta test this out with.
Any chance Pipedrive will make it so we don't have to filter our deals to the ones we won? I feel like this has been a request by users for years.

@Mo Rea you got the Projects beta on your account active I see. You can link projects to won, lost and open deals all should work. Also when you set up an automation you can set the trigger for "deal update" and then also the status can be anything so not only won. Good luck!
