I call it the Midwest too @Jan Visser. And now that I look again at Wikipedia, I'm not sure why I didn't just run with the census regions. For some reason at the time I was led to go with Bureau of Economic Analysis regions. Link here, if you're interested: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_regions_of_the_United_States#World_Interstate_regions. The BEA regions are more granular. Maybe that was my thinking. I honestly don't remember now what led to choose the scheme that I chose. It's a government scheme though, so there is at least that going for it.
