Is there a way to allow Pipedrive to detect the marketing source of a lead or deal?
Is there a way to allow Pipedrive to detect the marketing source of a lead or deal, like how Hubspot can do? Or at least accept UTM tracking? Right now we are running several ads but struggle to see how many sales can be attributed to which marketing channel...

Hi @Sean Xie we're currently working on a leads section and a marketing section of Pipedrive. So I'll pass on this feedback to our teams. However, perhaps there are others in this groups who already have current solutions working to resolve this.0

Yes, you should link that tool with Pipedrive with ZAPIER for example and create an automation to upgrade the custom field and ad the source.

Sean, what forms tool do you use to capture leads? If you're using Pipedrive's forms, then it's hard to add any tracking codes because they work within an iframe.
If you're using Mailchimp forms or Gravity forms, then Outfunnel's web tracking captures referring source / medium and UTM codes, see here https://support.outfunnel.com/en/articles/3245436-how-to-use-website-visitor-tracking
Finally, there may be tools on the Marketplace specifically for that eg https://marketplace.pipedrive.com/app/leads-bridge/735a83a4b7845864 or https://marketplace.pipedrive.com/app/adlots/c2fd281a5659f3ee0 -
You can do this using a third-party tool we built -- GA Connector.
It detects marketing source using UTM parameters, referrer and other information.
And then brings it into Pipedrive leads and deals:

Hey Sean
We send marketing source data (like the fact they came form Paid Search, Organic Search, etc) into our Pipedrive account using a tool call https://attributer.io/
It's basically the same as Hubspot's Original Source fields which is what you're looking for by the sounds of things.
Not only does it capture and send through UTM parameters, but it sends through channel data for organic channels where UTM parameters aren't present (like Organic Search, Organic Social, etc).
It also captures landing page data, which we find useful for measuring how our many leads & customers are coming from our blogging efforts.
Hope this helps!

We have been on Pipedrive for several months now. Our company, www.zagfirst.com, does lead gen, so lead source tracking is critically important for us.
Pipedrive does not do what we need in terms of tracking if the source was from paid search, organic, etc. We talked to several people at Pipedrive and it will not do what we need.
There are several options to populate hidden fields on Gravity Forms (which is what we use), but most cost at least $100/site per month. The most cost-effective (and effective) solution for us was attributer.io. (We have no affiliation with attributer.io other than we use their service.)
