Projects Tool - Available for Mobile?

Hi @Cristopher , in the short to medium-term, there are no plans to add new features to the Projects module as our team focuses on the core product. Please have a look in this thread for a message from the project manager with all the details.

I have just asked the same question as we have remote staff on site that currently use iphone to update project notes and photos etc. We can wok around this but would be a real bonus to have this function also.

Would love to know when we can expect Projects to be on mobile. Upper Management is starting to look at other CRM's because we can't access this on mobile

I am really enjoying the projects module, as well as the app. When will the app be upgraded to include a project view?

Hi @Jochen Faber I am happy to learn you are enjoying the Projects module. While this is not planned for the very near future, I will move it to the feedback and feature requests category. That way, our product team will see it along with other similar requests.

at the moment I feel like the Pipedrive app is high-level overview of opportunities and the cost associated with those and tasks this does not help with the day-to-day and the people that actually do the work using projects as the main for the associated opportunities not having this on the mobile application seems really shortsighted as we utilise this more than what we do the high-level stuff opportunities. Please, please can we get projects into the mobile app?

I quit using Projects once they stated it mobile was not on the roadmap at all.

I will say as a small business that doesn’t want to invest in a stand alone project management this is a huge factor in the CRM we choose.
Not being able to access Projects via the app basically makes it useless as all the information on the project we need to see daily in the field. Emails, notes, and files sent by client are all used daily and currently having to build an Apple Notes file on these notes for the daily schedules and various meeting notes is just brutal. This was a big part of what drew me to pipe drive so that we could centralize that information. Deals make no sense because by that point the deals are closed... however that seems to be the only other option and to remove the project module the way it’s looking.

We would be happy if there was an option to display the project add-on in the mobile app so that we can clearly assign a photo to a projectAt the moment I only have the option of storing photos in the deals, but these should not be visible to all employees. The other option is with the contacts, but there is the problem that we usually do several projects for customers

Please don't hold your breath for this.

Will never happen. Projects is no longer developed and only maintained.

@Manuel Oliveira, it's important to have the Projects section included in the mobile app. Right now, the system works.. partially. Please advise on a rough time frame, particularly for new small businessess looking to select a new CRM should be fully imformed.

Hi, is there any plan to include tasks or projects into the mobile app, or even be able to schedule a task from the web app into a project. This is a key thing for me as a business owner who thinks about work 24/7 and when I remember stuff I need to do can open the mobile app and drop it in.

@Manuel Oliveira , can you please address the comments provided above. What is the future of Projects, and will it be included within the mobile app?
The projects section provides more detailed ability to identify and track activities which the deal section could learn from. Please advise of PipeDrive's intention

@Cristopher Unfortunately, this feature is pretty important so that means they will probably never get to it. Because Pipedrive clearly doesn't care. I honestly just check in every once in awhile, just to see how dead the development is on this app and piss myself off 😡

Hi everyone, there are no changes to Projects planned for 2024 at least. We’re planning a new Product Talk session for early 2025 and will reveal some of the things being worked on; more announcements coming soon here in the community.

There is no plan to bring projects to mobile.
They would probably get 10x the users on projects if they did.
It started off very promising and then future development was abruptly shelved.0 -
Wow! I am surprised and disappointed all at once. Surprised that I am not alone in my frustration that a feature I signed up for and incorporated is not evolving to be truly useful (not to mention the money I invested into it) and disappointed that developers don't recognize the importance to finish what they started.

@Radka S. Yeah we're all with you. This company clearly doesn't care about any of us paying customers! I've completely downgraded everything and just given up on all features in this sad excuse for an app. In fact the only reason I'm even still here and using this crap is because I simply use Pipedrive a just a vessel to hold my contacts and nothing else. It serves as a simple database for me. Now I'm here temporarily, hoping one day they finally wake up before I find another app I like better and completely jump ship 😔

@Manuel Oliveira You guys should be ashamed of yourselves 👎

Hi together,
we advice a lot of companys in the use of pipedrive and we has no one who needs to use projects. There is only one real need for the projects tool and this is when you working on a real projects and this project has more then one related deal. Like you are a house developer and need one deal for cement, one deal for working machines and stuff like that.
If you win a deal and now you need to fulfill this one deal then just create a fulfilment pipeline and work with pre setted and automated activities. You need 3 activities to be done that the next step can start? Set a fixed subject for the 3 activities and when they are marked as done just let a custom field marked as checked and when every 3 are checked let a automation create the new activity. Its all about think the processes through and create smart automations for this processes.
Even the in the project listed activities you can displays when done or not with custom fields that are connected with this activities by automation. The biggest issue in projects is not that its not on mobile. Most of the project tools are for working in collaborations with other or with customers. And in this case you cant invite someone from outside to a project. You cant display the project to your customer. You cant use it to send a question or get/receive approval from a customer for a step in the project of for a budget or thinks like this.
So if you really need a project tool that comes after pipedrive sales just use something else or work with the deals and smart automation. If you use something else just set up a connection with with zapier or make to get the data from the deal to the project.
Projects is a nice idea like campaigns but if you look deeper in it you realize that pipedrive was leaving the fields where they are really good just to get a feature more in the portfolio.
Maybe its like: Create a feature with low budget to see if the users are start using it and collect some money from it to reinvest it into the dev. for this tool. So maybe in early 2025 they will announce that they got new staff members that are experts in project management tools and everything will be fixed. :)1 -
As a new Pipedrive user, I appreciate the platform’s robust CRM and workflow management tools. However, I was disappointed to find that the Projects feature is unavailable on the mobile app, despite being a highly requested addition since 2022.
For agencies and freelancers who work on the go, managing projects directly from the mobile app is not just a convenience it’s a necessity. The ability to track tasks, update project statuses, and collaborate with team members from anywhere would significantly enhance productivity and workflow efficiency.
Currently, the lack of mobile support for Projects forces users to rely on workarounds or wait until they’re at a desktop, which disrupts real-time project management. Given the increasing demand for mobile-first solutions, I strongly urge Pipedrive to prioritise bringing Projects to the mobile app.
Could you provide an update on whether this is in your development roadmap? Many users, including myself, would greatly benefit from this feature and would appreciate a timeline for its potential rollout.

I agree, the projects module is like selling cars without the ability of tires. :)
I was an early tester and was very excited, I waited a year or two before investing in another tool because I wanted to keep everything in pipedrive. It was a major let down not seeing any mobile then development getting dropped.1
