A lot of redundant threads on the topic of "mentioning" have been merged here recently. Click on the links in my post above and you'll see it redirects you back here again.
Merging discussion threads is a commendable asset and I thank the community administrators for it. 👏
But I would like to suggest: If you Pipedrive Community managers @Inês Batata @Manuel Oliveira @Pipedrive Admin IT @Community Assistant @Community Team do such a merge, it would be appropriate:
- Write a post/message about it in the linked discussion that the merge has occurred. Write about it. Write which discussion threads you merged. Make it clear. And it's not happening quietly. It's confusing.
- Edit the headline/topic of the discussion accordingly. Because in this case, for example, discussions were merged that involved "mentions" in LEADs, mentions of PERSONs (not just USERs), etc.
I suggest renaming this thread to:
"Support for @ mentioning objects USERs, PERSONs, ORGANIZATIONs, DEALs, LEADs etc. ) in all text fields."
IMHO There is no reason to restrict freedom in what and where I want to mention.
Unless there is a consensus that only "people" can be mentioned. Then it would be a matter of mentioning USERs, PERSONs or USER_VISIBILITY_GROUPs

Yes please, now we use Notes for this but it is not ideal.

Are there any plans to add the functionality to @tag a colleague within an Activity?
Having to add an additional Note isn't as convenient as in other CRMs and seems like an odd oversight and quite low hanging fruit.

I'm new to Pipedrive and love this capability in Notes, but 99% of my activities are captured in Activities. So, like Lucas said, would be good to extend tagging to Activities and not just Notes. Thanks!

I'll add my own vote here for this feature. As it's been mentioned by others, this almost seems to be an oversight in Pipedrive. Frankly, I'm not even sure of the value of Notes as opposed to Activities. I use Activities exclusively and find myself sending Slack DMs to colleagues who should be apprised of activities. Please add this feature.

Would love to be able to tag my boss in things he should see but doesn't need to take care of, and vice versa! Tagging capability in an activity note would be so helpful.

hello! Any updates on adding this feature? We have trained our team to use @ mentions and add their call notes to the notes field in an Activity, but they can't @ mention people in the notes in an activity. Please, Pipedrive!!

Hi @Josh Monifi this feature is not on the roadmap for this quarter at least. Our product team is keeping an eye on the evolution of this thread, so this should be reviewed further ahead.

I need to tag users from the notes field within an activity. Implement this now or I am switching to Hubspot. I can see you have known about this since early 2023, what can possible be taking so long for such a simple request for basic functionality. Big miss to not have this in the first place.
