I'm the exact opposite of most in this thread I can see. I am strongly considering changing to another CRM as Pipedrive is not handling any of my processes satisfactory. It seems that if I want basic functions like mass merging, uploading more than one contact per organisation etc I will need to invest in a 3rd party product.
It seems to be a CRM only for businesses with a simplified lead generation and sales process.
Generally speaking, and I come from a classic database marketing background so I am very technically proficient, but generally speaking, all CRMS are lacking in robust reporting. The best way to get to drill-down analytics and to understand and look for causal relationships and build compelling reporting is to connect a BI tool like Tableau (now part of Salesforce) or MicroStrategy or Microsoft Reporting or Sisene using apis to connect to the databases. Hubspot claims they have robust reports but you cannot make a calculation on a date - so they post about measuring sales velocity and unless your write custom code to the API there is no way to do it.
Most CRMs are built for non-technical users, as they should be, and they all have these little hickies. My hickey for Pipedrive is I would REALLY like another Object called Campaigns where we can connect ActiveCampaign or Autopliot to Pipedrive and push campaign results by contact into Pipedrive so Sales teams can see the marketing treatments and offers customers receive. That would include their open or clicks on emails, the email template itself, etcs. That would be a VERY powerful addition to Pipdrive.0 -

@Alexander Olsen @Brad Tindall and @Christopher Daly thank you so much for your honest and critical look on Pipedrive. As Brad rightfully mentioned we're always working on improving our offering.
Reporting, contact management, duplicate handling and much more is all things we want to improve, and we will over time. However, I hope you appreciate that building a good product does indeed take time and prioritization from our end as to what to build first.
I'm passing on your feedback but also highly recommend to post any suggestions for improvements in our topic here for "Feedback & feature suggestions" so that our team gets notified about your ideas.

I have been using PipeDrive for several years now - it fits well for my business and I recommend it to clients and friends all the time. PipeDrive is a superior SalesCRM; fully customizable contacts, organizations, products and deals. Unlimited pipelines and configurations - you would be surprised at some that I have seen and worked on and how people are connecting through Pipedrive. My first CRM was of course SFDC - on 9/11 I was updating SFDC so I remember that I have been using it for a very long time. But SFDC is an old cumbersome platform and other CRM's are just righteously expensive. It's a great tool for productivity. The forms are good but could use a style upgrade and a better captcha but the recent addition of Docs and Quotes and Proposals is a BIG deal because quotes are how my business works. We deliver a "boiler plate template" agreement and then all of our work is done through quotes that are an addendum to the agreement. It makes selling and cross-selling and up-selling and ABM so much more efficient.
I ama a PipeDrive customer for life!Glad to have you with us @Christopher Daly and thanks for sharing!

I would also add that having advanced reporting in a CRM application is better done by partnering with a reporting platform. The notion that Pipedrive might build a reporting platform that functions like a SiSense or MicroStrategy or Tableau does not make a lot of sense - it seems duplicative of an effort that other companies have expertise in. The campaign object - yeah, I am all for that.
Thanks @Mike van der Valk0 -
When I first used Pipedrive at my former employer, I was thrilled to use this well thought out CRM, which is designed for a fast and structured sales process.
I am currently evaluating whether it could be suitable for my current employer / team.
Unfortunately the rapid growth does not seem to have been good for Pipedrive. Many functions have bugs (e.g. appointment invitations, organization display on the map, or there are problems writing emails with BCC)
It's great that Pipedrive is growing and new features are being added all the time, but it seems that not always the real purpose in real "sales life" is taken into account.
I was very excited to be able to add recurring revenue to my deals. When this is set it is not possible to add products to the deal ("add Products to the Deal") which makes the great former deal structure more or less obsolete.
I can only hope that Pipedrive returns to its former strength and provides us with the ingenious CRM that it could be.

Bugs is something we want to avoid at all cost, sometimes we spot them ourselves but please keep reporting them to our support team so we can jump on them and fix them asap.
Regarding new features that aren't fully like you want them to be yet. We always release updates in small but useful iterations. Sometimes version 1 is already very useful for 50% of our customer where the other 50 still want some updates. These then come with version 2, 3, etc.. so please keep sharing your feedback also in our topic here so we can keep on improving and serving your needs: https://community.pipedrive.com/feed/feedback-suggestions
