Hello,

Would it be possible to develop the possibility to merge product ? (when we want to change a bit and reorder our product merging will be helping not to loose all info)

Would it be possible (very important to us) to report on product category?

    Hey, @Pauline MARIET!

    While Pipedrive does not have a direct possibility of merging products, this is still possible to be achieved - though it may require a mix of built-in features and custom solutions.

    For merging products, you can manually update one product and delete the duplicate. If you have development resources, on the other hand, you can use the Pipedrive API to create a script that merges product data.

    That said, I will forward this feedback internally and you can also add it here.

    To report on product categories, you can create a custom field for products and use it to categorize products when adding or editing them. In the Insights tab, you can then create reports using this custom field to filter and segment data.

    For advanced reporting, on the other hand, you can integrate Pipedrive with tools like Power BI or Google Data Studio. These can pull data from Pipedrive and provide detailed analyses based on product categories.

    Thank you for your answer. I do understand your workaround but my concern is that I have several products that are already used for some deals and if I do your solution I will loose that information. The idea of merging is that it would replace in bulk for all deal with the merged product.

    For the category, I already tried that but it seems that it is not possible to report on custom fields. And even on all default fields (as a category field exists but we cannot report on it…). Moreover it seems that we cannot choose to segment chart through other field than deals one. It would be great for example to segment by product category :)

    Merge products functionality hasn't made to the top of our priorities at the moment. I have captured your feedback about it.

    For product category in Insights, it wasn't released with the new Products Performance Reporting and deal report enhancements with products information. You can check this community thread about it. Product Category was mentioned and Insights team is aware of it.
