Deals Shouldn’t Rot When a Follow-Up Is Scheduled

Hey everyone,
I’ve noticed that deals still enter the “rotting” status even when there’s an activity scheduled — for example, if I give a client a week to think and set a follow-up accordingly, the deal still gets marked as rotten.
This doesn’t reflect the true status, since I am actively managing it. I think deals with upcoming activities should be excluded from rotting logic — otherwise, it creates unnecessary noise and pressure, even when things are on track.
Would love to hear your thoughts — anyone else dealing with this?

Agreed! Ideally there would be a toggle option to select whether to:
1. rot if there's a future planned activity or
2. not-rot if there's a future planned activity
This could be similar to the toggle for whether or not to display the activity pop-up when completing an activity.1 -
@Liz (Ops Designed) exactly, that would be perfect!

Would be nice if future follow ups and current emails would postpone rotting. As everyone has different needs, some options to consider what pushes rotting back would be best.
We do want to avoid teams that might set a follow up in 60 days to avoid the appearance of rotting when management prefers constant updates weekly or biweekly, even if it is just a "done" "follow up" activity.
Back in the day, if any deal was unnurtured for more than two weeks, it would go back to the shark tank for any rep to take over and attempt to close for partial commission. It was my preferred way of closing deals as all the intros were out of the way.
As a work around for rotting deals after a week, I've always set timelines for a week as 8 day, bi-weekly as 15 days, months as 31or even 32.
