[Research] Scoring functionality in Pipedrive [Volunteers FOUND]
Hey, dear community,
EDIT: We have all the interview slots booked. Thanks everyone who responded to our call!
We’re currently researching how we can introduce scoring functionality inside Pipedrive.
We’re looking for 4-5 users who we’d like to speak to and understand your needs, use cases and the current pains you’re facing on this topic.
Please feel free to book a slot via this link. The call would take around 40-45 minutes (in English).
In return, we will of course reward you with some small token of our appreciation for participating in our research. We're looking forward to hearing from you!
Best,
Lina

As much as I am aware, the scoring functionality would allow you to assign a score to prospects to determine how useful would those leads be for your business!
It is especially valuable if you have a high volume of leads and need tools to prioritize them.0 -

Hey Yann, thanks for a wonderful question.
We are exploring different kind of scoring related to marketing, sales and account management stage: from marketing engagement scoring/rating, leads scoring to accounts health score.0 -

Good direction, missing other more important functions first to make scoring more accurate.
The biggest glaring hole that Pipedrive doesn't have is the ability to process payments and then start automation based off of said payments.
If Pipedrive were able to do that, then scoring a lead would be more relevant.
As an example, Keap Max Classic (AKA Infusionsoft), does lead scoring in a customizable way in which a person gets scored based of a criteria set up ahead of time by the business.
The business can set the score based on products purchased, emails clicked, whatever they choose.
Most businesses set it as the products purchased because they know if a person bought product A... they are more likely to buy higher end product B if they book a call with them. This data is readily available to the user because Infusionsoft processes payments.
So humble opinion, lead scoring can't be accurate or actually useful till Pipedrive processes payments as you are basically allowing the reps to "score" a lead based on opinion.

Hi @Lina ,
What do you mean by Scoring functionality?
Hey @Torbjörn Johansson , in the current case, under the Scoring we understand a process of determining the worthiness of leads / prospects or current customers (or ones at risk) by attaching values to them based on their behaviour or any other available signals.

Hi @Lina , thanks for your reply. Is it a manual process or is it possible to define rules for example how the prospect interact with the website to create different scores?

Great question!
Our main task for now is to understand all the main unmet needs related to Scoring our customers have and try to find out the best possible way how to solve them.
Please share your opinion on it, what are your expectations from Scoring functionality in Pipedrive?0 -
Very excited for this. That's a feature that could really help us in the daily basis operations.

Hey @Pedro Guimarães, happy to hear that! Do you have any specific expectations how this functionality should work to help your team at most?

We wanna start to cluster our deals and distribute them according to their needs. In that way, we could separate our costumers with different journeys.
It would be great if, with a few parameters, we could have a lead score to help identify those journeys. We consider parameters such as expected won date, the product of interest, temperature, and primary pain to identify it's a lead ready to buy or someone who needs more education and a more high touch sales process.0 -
Super important feature. We have a lot of clients who shift from Pipedrive to Hubspot just because of the scoring and mass mail feature.
Scoring should be flexible based on different interactions. e.g if someone visits my website, fills out a form on the website, we have important lead contact info etc1 -

Stumbled upon this thread from April.
At Outfunnel, we've offered lead scoring based on marketing engagement (email clicks, website visits) for 2+ years (see here) and are now also looking into developing this further. For example, using machine learning to detect the strongest signals or using data from within Pipedrive itself (eg. has a demo been booked) to adjust lead scores.
If anyone has any wishes / unmet needs around lead scoring please share here or get in touch.
Also, @Lina_38202 - can you share what the interview findings were, and whether/when there may be any product news related to this.

I wonder what the volunteers told you.
Probably that automated contact scoring in the CRM is unimportant to them. 🤯That's why your Knowledge Base to date on the keyword "scoring" returns "No results found"
At least make it clear: Pipedrive does not support scoring.
