The problem is that when I follow the method of updating a custom field, when I import from the spreadsheet, it creates a new lead record (vs. just adding to the existing lead record because (I think) there is no lead ID (only organization and person ID.  I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to make this work without deleting all the lead records and re-importing all of the lead records.

    Hi Russell,

    There seems to be no way to update leads using a Lead ID.

    However, you can do this using APIs and make/integromat by doing a post request.

    Hi Russel!

    You should reach out to Pipedrive support and ask if there is a duplication check for Leads in specific. 

    Because there are specifics for Deals, Orgs, and Contacts. Other than that, the only other way to do it would be to reimport everything.
