Marketing Automation Comparison

Pipedrive has a campaigning tool, but we've been working with a different marketing automation platform years before starting with PD.
Has anyone made a comparison between the main marketing automation platforms like Hubspot, Zoho, Campaign monitor, Mailchimp for instance?
And what was the outcome?

Pipedrive's campaigning tool is great for basics, but platforms like Hubspot, Zoho, Mailchimp, and Campaign Monitor often offer more advanced features. Hubspot is all-in-one, Zoho is cost-effective, Mailchimp is user-friendly, and Campaign Monitor excels in design. It depends on your needs—if your current platform works well, sticking with it might make sense. Hope that helps!

Sounds great, ImRizwan
And key question for us is how to integrate the 'two platforms' for efficiency, dataquality and more leads… We're working now with Pipedrive, but found the campaigning module a little too basic, yet Campaign Monitor stores 10 years of data and that's pretty valuable for us as well, but … integrating .. How to get best of both?

Hi @Arnold Steenbeek
We've reviewed some options for Pipedrive + marketing automation in this post. But long story short, what @ImRizwanKhan said makes a lot of sense. Pipedrive's own Campaign tool is great for straightforward newsletters and sequences but companies with advanced needs may choose to integrate a more powerful marketing automation tool. And if I can add a plug: Outfunnel is a great platform for connecting Pipedrive with marketing automation tools such as Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, and Brevo. It lets you:
- Sync contacts 1-way or 2-ways between Pipedrive and the aforementioned marketing automation tools
- Records email opens, clicks, and other engagements back to Pipedrive, giving salespeople more context.
(We also have integrations with Constant Contact and MailerLite but these currently only sync contacts from Pipedrive to the marketing tool without syncing anything back. We're working on making these better.)

As others have mentioned it really depends on your needs. Pipedrive Campaigns is really great for the basics. We used MailChimp before, and I don't miss the basic of it. It's really nice to have everything together in Pipedrive.
I can also recommend Outfunnel to connect, if you do choose a different email marketing tool.
I am worried though that Pipedrive aren't continueing to develop Campaigns - not much has changed since it first came out.
Eg. I could really use some kind of sorting/label feature to get a overview of alle the different campaigns, status and types.
Another big thing for us the lack of tracking. There's no easy way to set UTM parameters. So instead you have to make it somewhere else and add it to links.2 -
Thanks Andrus & R.
That helps.
We've signed up for the beta Outfunnel Campaign Monitor 2-way integration
