Why can I not find a way to delete a custom activity type?

I created a bunch of custom activities and now realize I don't need half of them, I want to delete them to clean it up, why can I not do this, or can I? What am I missing?

Hi @Selenium,
Unfortunately, this is a limitation, however, I would be happy to pass along this feedback for you! Additionally, you can always share this in the "Ideas and product feedback" section of the Community!
It is not possible to delete custom activity types (they can be deactivated), however, you can edit the name and icon so instead of adding new activity types in the future, you can always rename the custom activity!
I hope this helps to confirm!

Hi @Sophie,
I understand that custom activities cannot currently be deleted, only deactivated. However, I find it a bit surprising that users are unable to remove activities they created themselves. Over time, work processes evolve, and having outdated or unused activity types lingering in the system can create unnecessary clutter.
Would it be possible to introduce an option to delete custom activities in the future? I believe this would help users maintain a cleaner and more efficient workflow.
Thanks for considering this, and I appreciate all your efforts!

I hope you are doing well!
Thank you for your feedback! If you would like, you can also add your feedback to our Pipedrive Community Ideas & Product Feedback page. Here other community users can see this, upvote, comment, offer workarounds and share their experiences.
The best way to stay updated on new features is to follow the "What's new" section in the Pipedrive community here. You can also follow our blog and subscribe to our newsletter. You can do both here.Let me know if you have any other requests or anything else I can help with in the meantime.

I landed on this post due to a User in our Organization being frustrated with what appears to be this very same issue. The User just needs to be able to Delete an Activity which no longer applies (for whatever reason) rather than Marking it as Done as a means to clearing it.
I (Administrator for our Organization) was noticing this User completing Activities on a future date. Unbeknownst to me, Standard User and Administrative User had different permissions in this area. I could see another User not being able to delete an Activity he or she did not create. However, if a User created the Activity (and perhaps owns it or it is assigned to that User), the User should be able to Delete it. There are so many factors driving various activities. From the standpoint of time management, a Standard User needs this capability.
