Smart Doc Triggers.

I am looking to take a copy of the smart document once signed and upload a copy to our third party finance software (xero).

I had thought I could make use of webhook automations, to trigger once a document is signed and then I could process the upload via make.com.

Has anyone got any automation work arounds for getting smart docs out of pipedrive.
and does any pipedrive staff know if document triggers are in the roadmap?

    Hello @Calum,

I hope you are doing well today!

My name is Hélio, and I’m part of the support team here at Pipedrive.

I wanted to share a helpful resource with you. We offer an integration available on our Marketplace called Xero Accounting (powered by Make), which you can use for free. You can find more details here: Xero AccountingIntegration. Based on your needs, this integration seems like a great fit!

Currently, document triggers are not on our roadmap for 2025. However, I’d love to hear more about how you envision using this feature. If you could share some specific examples of how it would be beneficial, I’d be happy to submit your feedback for consideration.

    Looking forward to your thoughts!

My use case is our finance team are not Pipedrive users, for auditing purposes the contract between us and customer needs to be uploaded to Xero.

My ideal scenario when a smart document is signed and completed I would like a trigger a webhook.
Would like to grab it in make.com
fetch and download smart doc file and upload it to xero.

I'm not sure how you are using smart doc's but if you are using Google Drive to store them you could possibly trigger a scenario when a document is uploaded. Using the make Google Drive Watch Files module you could filter matching a certain file name.

All of my signed documents appear in drive labeled "Signed - Proposal - {DEAL_ID} so using some sort of filtering and regex in make you could possibly upload them to xero if the labeling is consistent.

Just an idea to start looking for a workaround since pipedrive does not have this on their 2025 roadmap.
