Why is it not possible to edit leads in bulk? Or: Why is it possible to edit Deals in bulk? ...if you prefer it that way!

There is a lot of functionality that's available on a deal but not currently available on leads ...

    Hi @Jesper Brøns-Poulsen !

It's already possible to bulk-edit Lead fields, see here how

This is where we make all product update announcements. Make sure to follow them:

Will we ever be able to bulk edit custom fields within our Leads dashboard?

I see Leads feature mimic Deals feature 100% in the long run. So yes, but don't know when.

Hi it would be great to be able to bulk edit custom fields inside leads once they're imported into the system.

    Will this be rolled out?

Would very much like this feature as well. Or at least have the option to export the list including the ID number for the lead instead of having to capture each one manually by its URL. This makes it very difficult to update and sort leads by labels or other means when you have thousands to go through.

Is this going to happen? Very frustrating that basic functionality like this is not available.

Please make this change, it's a pain to edit one by one

What? How can it be, that custom fields cannot be edited in bulk? Really? This is VERY disappointing. We have thousands of contacts to work with and many custom fields. This is unbelievable!!! Come on!!!

Agree. This is basic functionality. All CRMs I tried allowed this. We are STRUGGLING to edit one by one!!!

Would need this too. This is cumbersome.

My workaround now: use an automation to update the field, based on the labels. It's ugly, but for my purpose it's less of a problem than going through 100's of leads one by one.

There needs to be better lead support in general, this is pretty insane. You can't see when a lead was archived, you can't view any change log for a lead, if a lead is converted to a deal, you can't even see when the original lead came in. This has got to be improved! Here we are literally YEARS later and there has been zero progression on the features that your customers need.

Truly one of the craziest feature gaps I've seen. This is one of those issues that hits me dozens of times.

I come up with an idea on how to organize things or an intuitive way to automate a sequence…

And immediately hit the same old wall: You can't bulk update custom fields for Leads. Crazy.

Leads need to have a change log and the ability to see and open archived leads associated with a person. There should be the full history of a lead even when converted to a deal. It would also be nice to have a lost reason associated with a lead, something that unqualifies the lead. Leads should essentially have the same functionality as deals including math functionality. Also when a deal is converted back to a lead it shouldn’t be a new lead again, it should go back to the original date it was created. And of course the bulk edit feature.
