Can I view LOST deals in the forecast view?
I have been struggling to get Lost deals to show in my forecast view.
Can someone advise me how to do this? Possibly lost deals just can't be seen in the forecast view?
(I want to be able to use that visual representation to look at recently lost deals, by month)

The Forecast View does not show lost deals, it only takes into account open and won deals. Learn more here: The Forecast View: Revenue Projection
You can, however, see a report that includes loss of expected income if you use the Recurring Revenue feature , but it has no connection (yet) with the Forecast View; that one's on the way, see this announcement.

You can create a filter to show all deals that are lost. Go into deal then create new filter.
Select the following in Show deals that match ALL of these conditions:
Deal Status is Lost
